Support for Benner's Farm

Homesteads and small farms provide educational, nutritional, and ecological benefits to the community.

We at Conserving Tradition encourage more families and small farms to produce their own food. A small farm in East Setauket, New York, Benner's Farm, was recently the subject of criticism by a handful of vocal anti-homestead extremists for doing just this as reported in the April 7, 2016 Newsday article “Fans hope to save Minnie the cow, an East Setauket farm favorite.”.

You can see our press release here. Our letter to Newsday is available here. We will continue our advocacy efforts for the ecologically sound and human agricultural practices of small farms such as Benner's Farm.

Conserving Tradition is a 501(c)(3) public charity
